Position Description

ATS is seeking a highly accomplished sales performer. To date, ATS has achieved its sales success through repeat business and acquisition of new accounts through its established reputation as a minority owned enterprise. Years of delivering consistently strong client success has proven to be the sales engine over time; however, the strategy moving forward is to establish opportunity through more aggressive hunting and the farming of existing accounts. Reporting to the President of ATS, the Account Executive will be based in Chicago and be responsible for driving new sales opportunities. Capturing the message of success and carrying it forward to additional prospects will be the primary objective of this position.

Responsibilities:

Building new relationships and positioning ATS in key accounts are the core responsibilities of the Account Executive. Other responsibilities of the Account Executive include:

  • Become intimately familiar with ATS and its core competencies
  • Specifically describe the details of the service offerings and the best areas for application
  • Define, build and create ownership of the sales territory for which new opportunity will be captured
  • Follow a structured sales process for identifying opportunity, building credibility, positioning capability and closing new business
  • Utilize a well-defined value proposition for the benefit of sales advancement
  • Work within the framework of ATS in delivering sound, ethical business practices across all sales and delivery disciplines
  • Prospect through the target market to identify projects, staffing and permanent placement opportunities for ATS
  • Meet or exceed defined revenue and profit margin objectives as outlined by management
  • Participate/prepare and present sales proposals and RFP responses as required
  • Identify and implement innovative business development and sales strategies to applicable situations
  • Utilize personal and professional rolodex of top IT and Business Unit heads for prospecting purposes
  • Research and be conversant on issues regarding the industry and client/prospect businesses
  • Adhere to ATS standards regarding sales force automation tools and sales measurement
  • Prepare sales reports and funnel status as required by management
  • Generate creativity in the Account Executive position that will create company growth and profitability for the company

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of successful technology recruiting or outside sales with proven track record in selling IT consulting or other intangible services to Fortune 1000 companies
  • Intelligent and energetic with a ‘do whatever it takes’ attitude
  • Highly knowledgeable of Information Technology concepts, business applications and organizational structures
  • Proven background in selling with delivery responsibility
  • Strong understanding of solution selling concepts with the ability to sell IT Staffing or project-based consulting services
  • Documented sales success resulting in no less than $1 million in sales per year
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a sales territory, while determining risk factors involved in selling across accounts
  • Proven ability to create relationships at all levels of Fortune 1000 and SMB businesses
  • Successful history in drawing up sales plans on market penetration and follow through to achieve desired revenue results
  • Highly organized and proven capability in managing work process and follow up tasks
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and articulate, with an eye for perfection, when necessary
  • Strong desire to be a part of creating and building an exceptional sales and delivery organization
  • Must have a stable work history with proven results
  • High level of focus on integrity and customer value
  • Technically proficient with experience in utilizing contact management software.
  • Skilled in MS Office and other PC tools, as required

  • Highly competitive base salary plus commission and bonus
