2013 Strategy: Client FocusAs we launch into our 14th year in business, we see 2013 as a very unique year for the IT Staffing and Services industry. The convergence of a pent up technology demand, the ever-changing mobile landscape, higher corporate profitability, and the low unemployment rate for IT professionals is a scenario we haven’t seen in our generation. The mash up of these items equates to a market push on resources that has the IT contracting and consulting business in a growth spurt.

We currently find that as opportunity to grow with our clients increases, centering our resources on deep industry and technological expertise that is closely coupled with our client’s resource deficiencies is a strategy that will clearly help them win. In expanding this train of thought, we see that our clients (and most corporations) are aligning their technology strategy more closely to the business drivers of their overall corporate objectives. Over the past few years, we’ve seen organizations in “catch-up” mode; looking to anchor down operational aspects of the business such as security, migration to the cloud, disaster recovery, and frameworks for successful business intelligence. The changes to the technology environment have been quite dramatic over the past few years and as these areas become more stable and trusted, the business application side of the equation is taking center stage.

CIO’s and CTO’s are met with a great challenge in 2013. The temporary workforce is increasing in size, the baby boomers are fading out of the scene, and pressure to perform as a technology organization is increasing as their departments are having a higher impact on corporate profitability. A sound and well implemented human capital strategy is critical to the success of the technology and business unit heads. The staffing and services Firms that are able to recruit, attract and secure the best talent are going to be well-positioned to assist and partner with companies in order to reach the client’s goals for 2013.

In our preparation for success in 2013, we are expanding our knowledge within our client’s industries. In order to be a great partner, while providing top talent, we have to be a seamless resource that clearly focuses on the client and the direction of their needs.
